The California Tech is Caltech's campus newspaper, which has a circulation of 4000. It reaches all undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff at the Institute as well as a number of alumni, parents of students, and friends. The Tech is published by students each Monday morning, except during final examinations and vacation periods, and is usually 8-12 pages.
Advertisement artwork should be submitted in the desired size either as camera-ready copy or in some electronic form. The Tech can prepare simple ads, but specific type faces or artwork may not be available.
The Tech is printed in tabloid format: 10.125 inches (5 columns) wide x 16.5 inches deep. (The top 1/2 inch is reserved for the page header.)
- Minimum display ad size is 1 column inch. Ads over 14 inches in depth will be billed at full depth (16 inches).
- There are no fractional column widths, except when purchasing a modular unit. Minimum depth increment is 1/2 inch.
